Students living in The Commons of Lake Houston are served by the highly acclaimed
Huffman Independent School District. The district boasts a stellar reputation and its schools have consistently been rated “exemplary” or “recognized” by the Texas Education Agency. Here students enjoy smaller class sizes, an extensive curriculum, special programs and greater parent involvement, all of which add to the academic quality and experience for all students.
Additionally, The Commons is just minutes from several quality institutions of higher learning.
Kingwood College, one of five colleges comprising the
North Harris Montgomery Community College District (NHMCCD), is located on a beautifully landscaped 304-acre campus less than 20 minutes from The Commons. The college’s computer graphics art, travel and tourism, and network administration programs have been identified by the Texas Education Coordination Board as exemplary. Plus, The University Center, which serves as the centerpiece of the NHMCCD, is located only 45 minutes away. Here there is a dedicated classroom/laboratory facility as well as an interactive, technology-based extension that connects all of the colleges of NHMCCD and its partner universities.
